Prairie Air Show

We were given free VIP tickets to the air show here in Peoria. We had a great time and the kids were able to walk through and play in a lot of different aircraft.

The Blue Angels were the highlight of the show. We were sitting very close and they were quite loud. I think Allison may be permanently traumatized by the noise level. The entire show she made sure we kept our hands over her ears. I am not sure why we forgot to bring earplugs for the kids but we did.

Brandon really enjoyed running into the people dressed up in authentic Star Wars costumes. I thought he would be a bit afraid of them since you couldn't even see their faces. But he didn't hesitate at all and ran right up to them to get his picture taken.

It was a fun day for all of us. It had rained the previous day and part of the morning so it was muddy everywhere. Because Amanda is very protective of her new minivan she made all the kids ride home pantless and shoeless. The boys were quite embarrassed and made sure we pulled into the garage and closed the door before they would exit the van and run into the house.
