The lyrics "It's the most wonderful time of the year" are being replayed over and over in my head today! And I have the biggest smile on my face. Is that a bad thing?! 3 of the 4 kids started school today. I am not so sure the boys are quite as excited as I am but they are excited to see their friends and meet their new teachers.
Brandon is starting 2nd grade and his teacher is Mrs. Rutherford. He is excited to have several kids he knows in his class. Eric is in 5th grade and is super excited to be in Mrs. Steffan's class. He has been hoping for this teacher since school ended in May! He is happy one of his best friends sits right near him. It was a little strange at the bus stop to only have 2 kids riding this bus.
Jacob is in 6th grade this year. He is now a middle schooler with a locker and different classrooms and teachers for each subject. Jake (as he likes to be called now by friends and teachers) is pretty excited for all the changes! I don't feel old enough to have a middle schooler! I was happy that he let us go to the bus stop this morning with him. At least he wasn't too old for that!
How funny...I thought of that song when school started too. It's good for them to have their routine and keep them busy right? And I'm the same as you, three in school full time now which is so nice. But we don't have middle school so I have one more year for that big adjustment of Jr. High. Hope they are doing well and liking their classes :)
