Holy cow did it ever snow here!!!! It started snowing on Monday night. The kids haven't been to school since then...it is now Thursday! Jared has also been home this whole time, too!
Today was the first day we have seen a snow plow on our street! It is Thursday! We can't believe it that it took so long to get out! The snow was so high we couldn't travel down our street even though we shoveled our driveway clear. I am so glad that neither us or our neighbors had any emergencies...no one would have been able to get to us!! The street was that bad!
We have all been out enjoying the snow. Man, am I glad I bought snow boots this last Friday!!! So far this is how we have been enjoying our Blizzard Break: snowball fights, pulling each other around the yard on sleds, shoveling and reshoveling and more shoveling of our driveway, "snowboarding" down the snow piles created from said driveway shoveling and playing in snow up to our knees and in some places higher in the middle of our street with neighbors!!! Did I mention the gallons of Hot Chocolate?! Super fun! Jared even carved out an awesome cave from the snow on the side of our driveway. It was awesome...several people can fit inside at one time.
Here's hoping for school and work tomorrow!!!!
