Skate park in Pekin

We decided to take Jacob and the kids to the skate park today for the first time. He has been wanting to go for quite a while. One of Jacob and Eric's best friends met us there. Brandon and Allison watched the big boys, tried to sneak into the park (strictly enforced no one but participants with pads on) and kept busy playing with balls and jumping off the bleachers.

The ramps seem a lot bigger and steeper when you stand next to them than from far away in the car! Jacob, Eric and their friend Cameron had a lot of fun. Jacob used some of his birthday money to buy the necessary pads to participate. He took his roller blades, ripstik and skateboard - and used all three!!!

Jacob was very sweet and let Jared use his pads and ripstik at the skate park. Jared just loves that along with older kids come cooler toys!!!!! After awhile, we started hearing Jacob say "Don't hurt yourself Dad!", "Are you done yet?" and "When will it be my turn again?!!" Apparently we need to get Jared a ripstik of his own!
