There are just too many cool places to visit in Berlin. This city has so much history. It was neat to be able to take my family to the place I served my mission. It was great because everything felt so familiar. We were able to hop on the subway system and get all everywhere so easily. Here are a few more places we visited.
Charlottenburg Palace. Originally built by Elector Frederick III as a summer residence for his wife Sophie Charlotte in 1699. What a summer house!
Checkpoint Charlie. When I lived in Heidelberg we visited Berlin for a scout trip. At that time the wall was still up. We were able to cross into East Berlin at this checkpoint. I can remember the soldiers standing there with guns and having to hold my passport up to the bus window.
